Roof Top Farms


With our partner FarmRoof, Urbaform introduces popup farms on a roof.  This new design paradigm allows for a fully engineered and installed rooftop food production system on your existing building.  Hybrid designs are available that will blend other technologies to maximize the production potential of the space.  See our section Roof Top Farms.




Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)


The Micro Climate GroRak System for urban food production was designed for commercial scale operations and includes a Micro Climate Room (MC Room) that is a sealed CEA room that can be built inside a warehouse or existing office building.  It includes floor, walls, ceiling, climate control equipment and is totally portable. Pictured is a 40'x40' MC Room.  This layout features 10 GroRak NFT units featuring 7 vertical growing layers per unit. The MC Room will enable customized optimization of growing environments along with further control of contaminants as will be mandated under the new FSMA regulations.



GroRak Vertical NFT systems


The GroRak Vertical growing systems are self contained multi-tiered production units that are ideal for growing microgreens, sprouts and lettuce.  The units include all the needed parts including special purpose LED grow lights.

ZipGrow Vertical Growing systems

The ZipGrow vertical growing systems by Bright Agrotech is an innovative new true vertical production system.  The unique system promises to deliver the optimum production capacity per square unit of floor space.

ZipGrow towers can be installed in greenhouses or indoors to produce configurations based on the type of crops being grown.  Watch for some new configurations that will be designed for individual and home use.

For commercial aquaponic producers, there is not a more efficient or productive way to grow crops than in ZipGrow tower systems. Most aquaponic producers utilize rafts for production, but rafts are not productive enough per square foot to make production in greenhouses economically feasible. 
ZipGrow towers typically produce 3-4 times more per square foot than traditional raft production methods. This is due to the light conservation aspects of the tower design as well as the modular aspects of the tower design that can utilize conveyor production techniques to maximize crop yield.
